What does eyebrow gel do?
Eyebrow gel is a finishing step for brows. It holds them in the shape you've combed them into, softens harsh edges on a brow pencil, and gives the look of fuller, more groomed brows without colour. Bloom's Eyebrow Gel is clear and lightweight, so it works alone for a natural, brushed-up finish or as a setting layer over Bloom's Brow Definer Pencil to lock the look in for the day.
How do you apply Bloom's Eyebrow Gel?
Brush brows into shape first, then sweep a thin coat of Bloom's Eyebrow Gel through them with the super-fine bristle brush — start at the inner corner and work outward, following the natural growth direction. Use the tip of the brush to lift the tail of the brow upward for a softly arched, lifted look. One coat is usually enough; the formula sets in seconds and doesn't flake.
Do you put brow gel on before or after makeup?
Brow gel goes on as the last step in your brow routine — after any brow pencil, powder or tint, and after your foundation and concealer. The gel sets the colour and the shape, so applying it last means everything stays exactly where you put it. If you only wear brow gel (no pencil), apply it after foundation so the foundation doesn't dilute the hold.
Can I use Bloom's Eyebrow Gel as a clear mascara?
The formula is clear and lightweight enough that some people do use it to separate and groom lashes. That said, Bloom's Eyebrow Gel is designed for brow hair, not lashes — the bristle brush is engineered for short, dense hair, and the formula isn't conditioning for the lash line. For lashes, Bloom's Full and Flirty Mascara is the formula made for the job.
Can I use Bloom's Eyebrow Gel on laminated brows?
Yes. After brow lamination, hairs are softened and reshaped — a light clear brow gel like Bloom's is exactly what most brow technicians recommend to keep laminated brows brushed into place between salon visits. Apply one thin coat, brushing brows up and out in the direction of the lamination. Avoid heavy or wax-based brow gels, which can weigh laminated hairs down.
